Two people from Coventry have been charged with shoplifting. Police arrested them more than 130 miles away in Norfolk.
Officers arrested a man and two women in Dereham at around 3pm on Tuesday (March 31). All three were taken into custody for questioning.
Patrycja Katazyna Pelechacz, 31, of Foleshill Road, was charged with aiding and abetting retail theft and Roji-Ioana Iakab, 30, of Nelson Street, Bedford, has been charged with six thefts across Dereham, Milton Keynes, Devon, Somerset, and Lanarkshire.
Nicolae Caldara, 32, of Foleshill Road, has been charged with thefts in Norfolk, Milton Keynes, Devon, Somerset, and Lanarkshire, as well as driving uninsured in Dereham. All three defendants appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on April 2.
