Appeal to van owners after spate of thefts hits three towns

Published on

An appeal has been launched urging van drivers to be vigilant following multiple thefts from vehicles in the Nuneaton, Rugby and Bulkington areas.

Warwickshire Police’s Operational Patrol Unit attended several incidents reported throughout the night. Officers have since detained two men in connection with the break-ins. The individuals, whose identities remain undisclosed, are currently being held for interview purposes.

As enquiries progress, the unit released guidance to van proprietors on Wednesday morning. A collection of items believed to have been stolen was retrieved during the operation, and authorities are encouraging drivers to inspect their vehicles to confirm whether they have been affected.

Those who discover their vans have been targeted or notice missing tools and equipment are requested to get in touch immediately, referencing log 434 dated 15/04/2026. The information could assist officers in reuniting belongings with their owners and advancing the inquiry.

Anyone with relevant information can contact Warwickshire Police on 101.
