Security rules you need to know for Coventry City FC festival as 50,000 people expected

Admission and security rules for one of the biggest events in Coventry’s recent history have been confirmed. Bank Holiday Monday will see Coventry City FC ‘We’re back Live’ parade and festival take place. The events are being held to celebrate the Sky Blues’ promotion to the Premier League. The festival is taking place at War Memorial Park and up to 50,000 are set to join in what Coventry City FC has described as ‘the biggest party this city has seen’. The Enemy will headline the festival and Tom Grennan will also join the line-up, being the opening act at 3pm. These include opening times and also what checks people can expect – including those who use vapes. Opening, closing and last entry times are as follows: 1pm between 7pm with the last entry 3pm Supporters are being urged to be patient as there may be increased waiting times during busy periods. Persons leaving the event before it concludes will be advised that there is no re-entry. Each ticket holder will be subject to search upon entry by licensed security personnel. Metal detecting wands are in use as part of the search regime at the entry point. Under 18s found to be in possession of a non-disposable vape will have this removed. Those 18 and over in possession of a non-disposable vape will be ID checked if suspected to be under 18 and the vape confiscated if there is no proof of age.
