Biker seriously injured in car crash as police close Nuneaton road

A biker was left seriously injured in a collision with a car which led to a Nuneaton road being closed.

Multiple police vehicles, including unmarked cars on Wiclif Way yesterday afternoon (July 30).

West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) and Warwickshire Police confirmed they responded to 999 calls made just before 4pm.

A WMAS spokesperson said that the biker, a man who has not been identified, was seriously injured and had to be rushed to hospital under ’emergency driving conditions’.

“We were called to reports of an RTC involving a car and a motorbike on Wiclif Way, Nuneaton at 3.56pm, yesterday, and sent an ambulance to the scene

” A man, the motorcyclist, was treated for serious injuries and conveyed to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire under emergency driving conditions.”

Police confirmed that the road was closed as part of the response to the collision.
