A motorcyclist has been seriously hurt following a collision in Warwickshire. The rider suffered severe injuries during the incident which occurred earlier today (August 3).
Emergency services were alerted to reports of a crash between a car and a motorcycle on Ingon Lane near its intersection with Warwick Road in Stratford at approximately 1pm. Ambulance crews also attended the location and discovered the motorcyclist had sustained serious injuries.
The rider had suffered multiple severe injuries. Medics provided treatment at the scene before transporting him to University Hospital Coventry.
A representative from West Midlands Ambulance Service stated that officers were already assisting the man when ambulance personnel arrived. Following examination, they established he had sustained multiple serious injuries in the crash.
He received advanced trauma care and his condition was stabilised before being taken by road ambulance to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further emergency treatment.
A spokesperson for Stratford Police stated that officers were currently responding to a serious collision involving a motorbike and a car on Warwick Road near the junction with Ingon Lane.
Motorists were advised to use alternative routes temporarily.
