I conquered Gladiators Experience with help from Phantom and Bionic

Visitors Can Tackle the Gladiators Challenge Just 20 Minutes from Coventry

Ready? On my whistle… 3, 2, 1… Bursting into the National Exhibition Centre, merely 20 minutes from Coventry, the Gladiators Experience launches you straight into the television show, with every sprint, jump, and climb.

Excitement builds as you enter the NEC, swinging, jumping, and racing through five famous challenges. I conquered The Wall, pushed through the Eliminator, and prepared for the Travelator, while actual Gladiators provided advice, humor, and took numerous photographs.

Heart pounding and prepared for anything, I raced up The Wall, gripping the rungs firmly as I climbed its tremendous height. Duel was where I gave my all, every strike and block driving me to my limits, but I held my position until the very end.

Some of the Gladiators even revealed their secrets for mastering the famous obstacles, with Bionic emphasizing that the key is simply ‘believing in yourself.’ Skipping a warm-up is a gamble your muscles will not forgive, something he says he has learned through experience.

Bionic stated that preparing your body is essential before attempting any challenges, and Phantom agreed. Armed with their best advice, I took on Hang Tough, testing my timing and grip on each ring.

Unleash was a head-to-head dash through fast-moving obstacles, concluding with an exciting final jump. It was a disorienting rush of hurdles, jumps, and sprints, but I completed it in just over 13 seconds.

Everything leads to the Eliminator, a demanding series of obstacles concluding with the famous Travelator. Phantom offered some sharp advice and stated the key is keeping your head up and letting your arms lead your legs, giving me an important advantage.

What was particularly impressive were the real-time RFID-powered leaderboards, maintaining the energy as everyone competed for the top of the rankings. This turns the day into an all-out competition where every head-to-head match determines who the ultimate Gladiator truly is.

Visitors can also explore The Vault, a nostalgic collection displaying memorabilia from the Gladiators’ American origins to the memorable ’90s British series and beyond. It includes everything from legendary costumes and referee uniforms worn by John Anderson and Mark Clattenburg to helmets, props, and trophies from over the years.

After completing the challenges at the NEC, you can see the actual Gladiators in action at bp pulse LIVE this December. Beginning in Aberdeen at the P&J Live Arena in October, the show then travels to cities such as Glasgow, London, Manchester, Newcastle, and Liverpool.

If you have ever wished to enter the world of Gladiators, this is your opportunity to attempt every excitement-filled challenge and demonstrate your strength, speed, and courage. Tickets are available now through Live Nation, so be prepared when that whistle sounds to give it your all.
