Jack Rudoni has had his troubled shoulder operated on in a bid to get the star midfielder ready for Coventry City ’s return to the Premier League . The 24-year-old first suffered the injury at Oxford last season when he dislocated it throwing himself into a diving header to give the Sky Blues the lead in an eventual 3-2 away win. But it has been an issue for him ever since and he even discussed having surgery earlier this term, only to opt to manage his way through to help Frank Lampard’s men get over the line and secure promotion. I forget the games when he came back in against Charlton and we were probably at that point when we asked the question of whether we needed to do it then. But we kept him with us because at that point the squad was short and I worried about being without him. “So he’s got on with it and he’s given us some big moments in the second half of the season. I think he scored three in three in that little patch when we won a sequence of games after the Boro win. So he’s been a brilliant player for us and he’ll be freer from getting it done.” Every day, the CoventryLive football desk strive to deliver all manner of news, features and transfer-related stories as a part of our overall package of Coventry City content.
