A man was found critically ill after suffering a medical emergency in Coventry. He was discovered in Holbrooks earlier today (March 30).
Paramedics were called to Parkgate Road shortly before 10am. Crews from the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance were seen near Morrisons.
Bystanders rushed to help the man and reportedly performed CPR. Medics took over to provide advanced life support before transporting him to University Hospital Coventry.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to a medical emergency on Parkgate Road in Coventry just before 10am and sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer, and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
“Crews found bystanders performing CPR and using a defibrillator on a man in a critical condition. Ambulance staff took over to administer advanced life support before conveying him via land to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”
