Coventry drivers: Two major road closures this Easter weekend

Published on

Information has been released regarding two road closures in Coventry scheduled for the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. These have been announced in the most recent list of temporary traffic orders from the council.

The first closure affects Quinton Park on Sunday, April 5. The road will be closed from just after midnight through to just before midnight on Bank Holiday Monday morning.

This restriction is to allow Severn Trent Water engineers to carry out repairs to a manhole cover and frame.

The second closure is scheduled for Bank Holiday Monday, affecting Wall Hill Road from its intersection with Watery Lane extending to its intersection with Stonehouse Lane.

This closure begins at just after midnight on Monday morning and is expected to continue until Friday, April 10. The work is being carried out to install new supply infrastructure in the area.

These two closures coincide with ongoing major roadworks elsewhere in the city.

As previously reported by CoventryLive, there is currently a temporary prohibition on turning left from Tile Hill Lane onto Fletchamstead Highway.

This restriction began on Monday, March 30 and is scheduled to remain in effect until Tuesday, April 14.

Cadent Gas engineers are undertaking mains renewal work on that particular road section.
