Coventry trains face cancellations and delays – National Rail alert

Rail services traveling through Coventry experienced issues this morning, according to Network Rail. The incident involved a points failure at the station, which impacted all railway lines.

According to Network Rail, trains traveling to, from, or passing through Coventry could face cancellations, revisions, or delays reaching a quarter of an hour.

This operational issue is expected to continue until 11am on Thursday, April 2.

The following routes were impacted:

Avanti West Coast operations connecting Glasgow Central, Edinburgh, Lancaster, Birmingham New Street, and Wolverhampton with London Euston

CrossCountry routes linking Manchester Piccadilly with Southampton Central and Bournemouth

London Northwestern Railway services running between Birmingham New Street, Rugby, and Crewe toward London Euston, plus additional routes from Birmingham New Street to Northampton and Milton Keynes

Passengers holding Avanti West Coast tickets for cancelled trains were informed they could use those tickets on alternative services.
