This is the Coventry bakery where you can pick your own Sky Blues team made up entirely of gingerbread men. Family store Stoke Bakery has been part of the community in the city for five decades having been passed down through the generations.

Current owner Megan has inherited not only a business and a passion for food, but also a love of the mighty Sky Blues.

To mark a momentous week that has seen a jubilant air take over the city, the shop is celebrating Coventry’s return to the Premier League with some top-flight fancies.

These include gingerbread men made to look like Coventry City players, as well as a host of Sky Blue cakes, buns and biscuits.

Megan said: “I wanted to take ‘fun’ twist on what we offer. I came up with the idea of the CCFC Gingerbread Bobble heads to attract kids and give them the opportunity to be able to come into store and get excited about picking their favourite player.

“We are also offering a ‘line up’ where our customers can purchase a full set of starting 11 to create their ‘Dream team’. The range is blossoming as we speak with cupcakes, cakes, biscuits and more.”

Find Stoke Bakery online and on social media. The shop is located on Bulls Head Lane.
