It’s Saturday, which means it’s time for nostalgia – and there really only is one topic we could look at this week. In honour of Coventry City’s incredible promotion to the Premier League, we’ve taken a look at one of the most beloved moments of the club’s history.

The 1987 FA Cup bus tour saw thousands of people line the streets of Coventry city centre as open-top vehicle carried the club’s heroes to celebrate their victory.

Our reporter Danny Thompson has taken a look at the incredible memories shared by the driver of the bus – including the moment the windscreen shattered.

The bus is on display at the Coventry Transport Museum, forever marking a fairytale moment of success for the city.
