Two changes as Frank Lampard names his Coventry City team to face Wrexham

Published on

Frank Lampard has made two changes to his Coventry City side for today’s big trophy lift celebration at the CBS Arena. The Sky Blues take on play-off hopefuls Wrexham in their final home game of an incredible season, having clinched the Championship title on Tuesday night with two games to spare. Today’s changes see star midfielder Jack Rudoni drop out of the matchday mix completely due to an injury issue and replaced by local lad Josh Eccles in the number ten slot, while Brandon Thomas-Asante comes in on the right flank in place of Romain Esse, who is rested on the bench. Carl Rushworth continues in goal behind a back four that sees Milan van Ewijk and Jay Dasilva either side of central defensive duo Bobby Thomas and Liam Kitching. Frank Onyeka and Matt Grimes are once again partnered in midfield while Thomas-Asante and Ephron Mason-Clark occupy the wide areas of City’s forward line, which sees Haji Wright lead the line up top. City: Carl Rushworth; Milan van Ewijk, Bobby Thomas, Liam Kitching, Jay Dasilva; Frank Onyeka, Matt Grimes; Brandon Thomas-Asante, Josh Eccles, Ephron Mason-Clark; Haji Wright. Subs: Ben Wilson (GK), Joel Latibeaudiere, Luke Woolfenden, Jake Bidwell, Kaine Kesler-Hayden, Victor Torp, Jamie Allen, Romain Esse, Ellis Simms.
