Photos show the state of a Coventry car park where shoppers say the pot holes are getting bigger and more dangerous.

Locals have raised concerns about the state of a car park in Bell Green. Riley Square shopping precinct is served by a car park at the foot of Dewis House near Farmfoods.

But one local says the pot holes have got so bad they are considering doing their food shopping elsewhere.

“I go to Farmfoods fairly regularly,” the shopper told us. “The potholes are getting bigger and more dangerous. I will be shopping elsewhere until they are repaired.”

Another said: “I use the car park for shopping or if I am going to the bookies or the chemist. But it can be a right pain because it is already pretty tight up there anyway, with the markings practically all disappeared. And then there are these great big holes in the surface and it just makes it much harder to manoeuvre the car park.”

This is a company that was set to pump millions into redeveloping Riley Square but it went into administration in August 2024. It is being managed by the receiver – CRG Insolvency & Financial Recovery who we have approached for a comment.
