The management team at Sky Lounge, situated on the upper level of the distinctive Hales Street structure, have approached Coventry City Council seeking authorisation for extended opening permissions that would enable both live performances and recorded entertainment seven days a week from 6pm until 4am. The application also includes a proposal to provide food and beverages during the late night period spanning 11pm to 4am each day. The submission has entered a consultation phase scheduled to conclude on 15 May 2026. The establishment, which restricts entry to customers aged 18 and above, markets itself as Coventry’s Finest Shisha Lounge and identifies as the urban area’s sole rooftop tobacco venue. According to its online platform, Sky Lounge is dedicated to offering exclusively authentic shisha flavours, ensuring uniformity in their tobacco products and guaranteeing customers are consuming premium flavours sourced from legitimate shisha tobacco suppliers.
