With the weekend drawing to a close, we examine what meteorological conditions lie ahead this week.

The UK Health Security Agency has activated a heat health alert that remains in effect until July 11. This represents a yellow-level warning, signifying the heat’s impact will be relatively modest – a stark contrast to the severe heatwave experienced a few weeks back – though remaining conscious of potential hazards is still prudent.

Temperatures in Coventry could climb to 33C this week as conditions turn warmer. A positive aspect is that nighttime temperatures should remain comfortable.

Overnight temperatures throughout the week are expected to fall between 15C and 18C, meaning the region will avoid tropical nights where temperatures fail to drop below 20C.

Conditions are anticipated to remain predominantly dry and bright, with a slight possibility of some thunderstorm activity across the region, though no official warnings have been issued at present.

Examining the week ahead, Friday looks set to be the warmest day in Coventry, with temperatures potentially reaching 33C. However, temperatures will remain fairly consistent throughout: 30C on Monday, 28C on Tuesday, 31C on Wednesday, and 32C on Thursday.

Remaining dry and becoming progressively hotter. Abundant strong sunshine and light winds are expected, alongside some mild nights as well.
