A 31-year-old man has been charged with multiple sexual offences following reports of a rape in Nuneaton.
Adrian Lewicki became the focus of an appeal by Warwickshire Police and Crimestoppers after the alleged incident occurred in the town on June 14.
Officers confirmed the individual, who has no permanent address, was taken into custody in Plymouth on Friday, July 3.
Charges against him include intentional strangulation, rape, sexual assault, false imprisonment and assault by beating.
Lewicki faced Coventry Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, July 4.
According to a police statement, the white Polish national appeared before magistrates in Coventry on Saturday and was ordered to appear at Warwick Crown Court next month.
