Two people taken to hospital after ‘serious’ crash near M42

Two people have been taken to hospital after a serious crash in Warwickshire . The incident happened on Poolhead Lane, near Earlswood, close to the M42 in the early hours of yesterday (Saturday) morning. The crash happened between the junctions of Forshaw Heath Lane and Mill Lane. It’s believed the crash involved one car, a black VW hatchback. It is not known how badly the people were hurt but police described the crash as ‘serious’. The road was closed yesterday morning while emergency services were at the scene and drivers were urged to avoid the area. The road has since been reopened. Now, police are urging any witnesses to the incident to come forward. A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said on the Stratford Police Facebook page: “We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on Poolhead Lane near Earlswood in the early hours of this morning (Saturday 2 May). “At 2:50am, our officers were called to a collision between the junctions of Forshaw Heath Lane and Mill Lane, involving a black VW hatchback. “The occupants of the vehicle have been taken to hospital by ambulance. “If you saw what happened, if you have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at around this time, or can otherwise help our investigation, call us on 101 quoting Incident 47 of 2 May, or use our online reporting tool – link in the comments. “Information can also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.” CoventryLive has a number of newsletters to help you keep up to date with what’s important.
