Revealed: Coventry’s most dangerous streets based on new police data

Published on

Police have released updated crime data revealing Coventry’s most dangerous streets.

According to January records for Coventry, one particular street recorded an astonishing 21 incidents of violent or sexual crime within a single month. Notably, this is not located in the downtown area.

Cloister Croft in Waslgrave comprises a small cul-de-sac positioned close to the local hospital. This location falls within the Henley and Longford ward for statistical purposes. During January—the most recent period with available data—West Midlands Police documented 21 violent and sexual offences at this address.

Ellerman Gardens, another street within the Henley and Longford ward, logged 12 violent and sexual crime reports during January. These two thoroughfares represent the highest crime locations in Coventry’s suburban areas.

Just one additional location, Lansdowne Street situated just beyond the city centre, experienced comparable levels of violent and sexual crime in January. This street recorded 15 such incidents. For statistical tracking, Lansdowne Street falls under the St Michael’s ward.

Below is a comprehensive overview of all Coventry streets where three or more violent or sexual offences were recorded during January. The ward totals appear in parentheses.
