A major thoroughfare in Nuneaton will be inaccessible for two days, prompting officials to issue an alert. The southbound lane of Coventry Road will be shut down between Donnithorne Avenue and the Griff roundabout.

Motorists will also be prohibited from turning right from Coventry Road onto Discovery Way while the restrictions are in effect.

The most recent temporary traffic order published for the locality indicates the closure commences on April 18.

The road will remain closed until April 18 to allow for kerb adjustment and resurfacing work.

A diversion route has been established for drivers during this period, utilizing Coventry Road, College Street, Chilvers Rise, and Griff Way.

The order states that pedestrians will retain access to and from properties and land bordering the closed section at all times, with vehicular access preserved wherever feasible.

Residents can now join Nuneaton’s dedicated WhatsApp community to receive the latest updates from Nuneaton and Bedworth directly on their mobile devices.
