Coventry appears poised to embrace its Sky Blue identity as the whole city gears up for festivities marking the club’s return to the top flight for the first time in 25 years. The We Are Back: Live event, scheduled for Bank Holiday Monday 4 May, will feature an open-top bus procession through the city streets before concluding with a live music gathering at the War Memorial Park. The procession will commence at the CBS Arena at 1pm and reach its endpoint at Hearsall Common by 4pm.

As previously indicated, the specific path the bus will follow has now been made public, allowing thousands of supporters throughout the city to make their plans, including determining which vantage points offer the best views of Frank Lampard and his squad passing by.

Those wondering which drinking establishments sit along the planned route need not worry – a comprehensive list of venues the bus will travel past appears below. Should any establishments have been overlooked, readers are encouraged to share details in the comments for inclusion.

The establishments along the route include the Unicorn Social Club on Holbrook Lane, The Hollybush also on Holbrook Lane, the Hen Lane Social Club on Beacon Road off Holbrook Lane, Finbarrs Sports and Social Club on Holbrook Lane, The Parkgate on Parkgate Road, The Wallace on Keresley Road off Wallace Road, The Lion’s Inn on Barker’s Butts Lane, and The Holyhead on Holyhead Road off Moseley Avenue.

Supporters who prefer not to watch from a pub are invited to share their planned viewing locations in the comments section.

A spokesperson for Coventry City previously outlined the route details, noting that after departing the Coventry Building Society Arena, the procession would formally begin from Holbrook Way following its intersection with Jimmy Hill Way – the street named after the manager who led the club to its previous top-flight promotion. From there, the route proceeds right onto Holbrook Lane before turning left onto Parkgate Road.

The procession continues down Beake Avenue, then uses Bruce Road to reach Wallace Road, proceeding along Norman Place Road before turning left onto Hollyfast Road and then Westhill Road. The buses then travel down Barker’s Butts Lane and turn right onto Moseley Avenue. After crossing Holyhead Road, the route follows Four Pounds Avenue and Queensland Avenue before reaching its conclusion at Hearsall Common.

Following the public portion of the procession, players and staff will make their way to the War Memorial Park to extend the celebrations beginning at 4pm.

The route traverses various pubs, community spaces, and residential areas, providing numerous opportunities for supporters to congregate, celebrate, and experience the moment collectively. Whether viewing from home, a local establishment, or the streets lined with loved ones, this belongs to the fans. After the public section concludes at Hearsall Common, players and staff will head to War Memorial Park to continue festivities from 4pm, uniting the entire city for a memorable conclusion.
