This following enabled him to release his inaugural publication Garden Yourself Happy and appear on ITV’s This Morning last week delivering a live horticultural demonstration.

The gardening-themed episode was filmed at the comedian’s dwelling during mid-April, with several clips subsequently posted to Allen’s Instagram profile. The Bake Off: An Extra Slice presenter donned shorts to coordinate with Hincks, who consistently wears shorts across his social media horticultural content.

In one clip published on April 21, Hincks instructed Allen in his characteristic compost bag slapping technique to transform him into a genuine gardener with comical outcomes. The video attracted thousands of likes, with commenters requesting the duo front their own programme, noting this was exactly the show audiences wanted and describing the collaboration as iconic.
