The planning submission for the M&S development states the extension would allow the retailer to more effectively serve its established customer base at the shopping park. The enlarged outlet would continue to work alongside the existing city centre location at The Precinct, which will remain operational after the expanded store opens. The scheme is intended to ensure Marks and Spencer’s continued presence at the site for years to come.

Alongside the Food Hall enlargement, the proposals include expanding the types of merchandise permitted, enabling a broader selection of non-food products and the installation of further shopping trolley facilities.
