National Highways has issued a alert regarding fortnight-long works along the M69 motorway connecting Coventry and Leicester. The essential maintenance operations will be conducted on the highway section, alongside survey activities on the A5 close to Lutterworth.

The overnight works, spanning approximately two weeks, will commence following the Easter period on Tuesday, April 7. Construction will occur only during weekdays, from 8pm until 6am.

The scheduled works are as follows:

April 7 and April 8 – The M69 northbound carriageway will be shut between junction 1 and M1 junction 21.

April 7 through April 9 – Three-way traffic lights will be operating at the intersection of Newton Lane and the A5.

April 9 and April 10 – The M69 southbound carriageway will be closed from M1 junction 21 to M69 junction 1.

April 13 to April 20

Drivers are advised that diversion routes will be operational during the closure periods.
